Shure SM7B Professional Vocal Mic
In Lisa Jayne’s voice-over recording studio, the Shure SM7B is the microphone of choice.
Designed for speech in all professional audio applications, this is one of three or four mics consistently cited as the "industry standard."
A large-diaphragm dynamic mic, the SM7B has a smooth, flat, wide-range frequency response. That gives it the presence of a condenser mic without the problems: higher vocal frequencies do not have a "hard edge," and there are no problems with sibalance (hissing S's).
Audio quality is protected by excellent shielding against electromagnetic hum, an internal shock mount, and self-mounted windscreen (shown).
